About SAE Collegiate Club : Society for Automotive Engineers (SAE) is a global association of more than 128,000 engineers and related technical experts in the aerospace, automotive and commercial vehicle industries. SAE's broad array of technical, historical, and statistical publications are distributed to customers in more than 65 countries annually. SAE's Training and Professional Development capabilities have been expanded in the past 20 years - SAE now produces more than 450 separate professional development events every year. The Society for Automotive Engineers collegiate club is the Forum in LTCoE in Mechanical Engineering department, in order to Design, Develop, Apply and Validate the theoretical knowledge learnt in the classrooms by fabricating ONROAD & OFFROAD vehicles on the college premises. By doing so, students not only get technical knowledge at par in industries but develop managerial and business skills simultaneously.


They are presenting vehicles at prestigious events like SAE BAJA, SUPRA and many more to compete at various locations in India as well as abroad. Hereby, through SAE, students are involved in hands-on experience of developing vehicles as application of the theory like material selection, design, fabrication, testing, managing finance, entrepreneurship skills and compete in the events. Students of LTCE have already participated in SAE INTERNATIONAL in Maryland, USA and SAE CHINA. College has also been selected as SAE Navi Mumbai Chapter, which represents Navi Mumbai, Thane and Raigad districts. Prof. Ajay Kashikar is current Incharge of SAE Collegiate Club.
