The Course of Electrical Engineering was introduced in the college in the academic year 1995 . It has an intake of 60 at first year since 1995 only. The department provides four years degree course of Electrical Engineering and follows the curriculam of Mumbai University till the date of Autonomy. In the year 2024-25, the college received autonomous status and since the syllabus has been revised. At present NEP syllabus is implemented.
The department received NBA accreditation status in 2024
The department has well equipped laboratories as per AICTE guidelines and ITC equipped classrooms. The Department has two computer centers with softwares like MATLAB, ECAD, KICAD and others usefull for the course.
The department has well qualified teaching faculties and staffs with minimum 15 years of experience. The department has good collaboration with various industries. The department regularly organize technical industrial visits, training program, seminars, expert lectures and workshop for the students. "Tantragyan" is a national level project competition organized by the department.
The department has good records of placement in major industries like capgemini, L&T, MSEB, Infosys, Tata Power and many more.
The department is headed under the Vibrant Leadership of Dr. Madhwi Kumari. His area of intrest includes Electric Vehicle, Control system, Renewable energy and Power Electronics.She is having the total expercience of 28 years in this college.
